Karma Yoga Love

June 2009

What did it mean to be a Karma Yogi at Hollyhock?

It meant lots of love and laughter. This program gave me the opportunity to meet unique people who inspired me and helped me to rediscover myself. The Karma Yoga Program took care of the practical fundamentals of life in an elegant way, so that I could take care of the fundamentals inside of me. I hold my time there with the utmost appreciation and gratitude, for it was truly a blessing to spend a month surrounded by such beauty. In the end, I found, that it wasn't the yoga and it wasn't the meditation that I took from Hollyhock, but it was the friends that I made, the love that I shared, and the laughter that continues to sustain me. For that I am grateful.

Memories of Hollyhock

When I first came to Hollyhock I was looking for a sacred community where I would be welcomed and my contributions would be acknowledged with compassion. I felt that I found that and more. The learning opportunities are endless. I learned from presenters at the open evenings, the amazing staff and other Karma Yogis. But most of all I learned from listening to my heart, which spoke loudly in the silence that Hollyhock offers.

I feel thankful that Hollyhock offers this program and I will feel achievement when I look back to this time of service and devotion.

My Karma Yoga Experience

There is so much space at Hollyhock: space to wander, space to breathe, space for creative input, space for silence, space to be yourself, and space in everyone's heart for an abundance of love, support and gratitude for whoever you are and whatever you bring as your KY contribution. The only thing lacking in space will be your tummy as the food is irresistible!

Karma Yogi Moments

Breathless.
An ever changing surface of water,
Amid silence.
Sounds of nature, Sounds of whispers,
Deep breathing in rhythm.
Providing service,
Restfullness.
Lit shells lining forest trails,
Deep Slumber.
Then again,
Breathless.
